The beautiful 295-acre University of Oregon campus is located in Eugene, Oregon. The campus is an arboretum with well over 3,000 trees.

General Schedule Information:
Check in: August 5, 2017 at12pm
Check out: August 13, 2017 at 12pm

Participants, Fellows and Auditors should plan to arrive in Eugene on August 5.  Registration will be from 12-4 pm.
Housing Check in: 12noon - 4pm

Everyone should make plans to depart on August 13.
There will be no events scheduled on August 13.

All events will be held at the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, and all performances will take place in Beall Hall

Housing is available on campus in the Global Scholars Hall which is a 12 minute walk from the School of Music. The housing package includes a full meal plan and linen service for the duration of the Seminar. All rooms are double occupancy. Contact for information on single occupancy housing.

We can provide transportation to and from the university on Aug 5 and Aug 13 if you are traveling to the Eugene Airport. Please email me your arrival time for Aug 5 and we will be sure to get you picked up.

You will not need to bring linens….they are provided….including towels.  

If you are using the university housing…your meals are covered.  Here is the schedule for the dining hall…

Parking Passes:

Anyone parking their car at the university will be required to purchase a parking pass.  This is a university regulation that we are not able to get changed.  The parking passes are $10 per car per day (weekends free).  So…you will need a pass for 6 days.  These can be purchased at registration.


Registration is on August 5 from 12:00-4:00pm in the Global Scholars Hall.

Concert Dress

Dress for all of the concerts (for performers) is black pants, socks and shoes and a solid colored shirt that is not white or black.


A daily schedule will be issued to you upon check-in. The daily schedule of events will also be posted here.

Recording Policy

The Alessi Seminar has a strict no recording policy.  We record all concerts and masterclasses and they are available for purchase at the Seminar. You can pay for these with cash, check or via PayPal. Order forms will be available at check-in

Opening Night Party

Dinner will be provided (pizza) at the opening meeting.  Dinner will also be provided at the party after the final concert on Aug 12!
